You are not forgotten

Asking you,
what you were thinking
you replied:

"As a child
I loved to wear pink.
And pink I believed
would be my days to come.
Then trains carried away
this colour."

Pink I

Pink II is more symbolic,
an angel rising in a non-space.
There is always this sense
of a higher invented realm,
as with William Blake,
in Albrecht’s hopeful
sensitive paintings.

Dresden 1945

Everywhere,
where nobody
remembers this war
life may begin again!
- or the next war.

(Max Frisch)

In Long Time Ago there are surreal contrasts,
as the heads exist like sleeping spirits,
so strange and syncratic,
while a ghost-like skull or face
is witness to it all…
This is a spiritual expression of the way
chance plays a role in all experience,
and how memory is all that remains…
ashes to ashes, dust to dust…

(John K. Grande)
